Have you heard about Sporcle?

So I was turned on to this website by a friend at school and, I have to say, I have been obsessed with it now.

The website is called Sporcle, and it claims to be a site that causes “mentally stimulating diversions.” The site was launched back in 2007, but this is the first time I have ever heard of the site.

It has 15 categories of trivia games to play – everything from entertainment, religion, history and a “just for fun” section. There are more than 2,900 games that you can play on the site, so don’t worry about overplaying at all.

I was wondering why the site was called Sporcle, but it seems the creator doesn’t even have a response to that. As it states on the FAQ page: “It doesn’t really mean much of anything. But…can you tell me what ‘flickr’ means?”

As a pop culture buff, I played a bunch of games in the Entertainment section. Check it out, play a few games and let me know what you think.
