New York City Living: TODAY Show, Maroon 5 and More!

What’s up guys? I apologize for the lack of updates on the site over the weekend but, as most of you know, I had a fairly busy few days. From Wednesday to Saturday, I was living it up in New York City doing things that I never thought would have been possible at this stage in my life.

The day I left for New York, I had the opportunity to promote my trip on WLWT. If you haven’t seen the videos yet, make sure to check out my first and second interviews with the NBC local affiliate!

The first night I spent in New York, was actually spent in the beautiful east coast beach town, Westport, Conn. I am telling you, this place is like an east coast Santa Monica. Check out a video I posted on my Twitter earlier in the week about the town:

Now, let’s fast forward to the stuff you guys all care about! I had the amazing opportunity to make my second appearance this year on The TODAY Show this past Friday morning. If you have never seen my FIRST appearance on the show, check out this video which will get you up to speed. Well, this time, I was on the show to promote my MTV TJ candidacy with Matt Lauer, Meredith Vieira and Ann Curry.  For my second appearance, Ann and I have a special moment to celebrate my time back in New York! Check out the video below of my appearance on The TODAY Show and also check out my blog post on the TODAY website:

This experience would have been amazing enough, but it got just a little better with the help of one famous musician.  The day I was on TODAY Show, Maroon 5 also happened to be performing for the fans as well. The lead singer, Adam Levine, was very happy to throw his support behind my MTV TJ campaign by urging the public to vote for me! Check this out:

After my appearance, I received an amazing shout out from one of my favorite people on The TODAY Show.  When I checked my Twitter account later in the day, I saw this Twitter response from Ann Curry. I have always respected everything Ann has done, and this is just another act of generosity on her part. This may have been a simple tweet on her part, but it truly means a great deal to have someone as respected and revered as her throw her support behind my campaign!

It has been an absolute whirlwind of a weekend! From promoting on local affiliates to reaching out to millions of viewers on a national television show, I have to say that I have been blessed to have these opportunities.  I could not end this without giving a special thanks to the man that made my TODAY Show appearance possible.  Matt Lauer helped me more with this opportunity than anybody. He presented the idea, set up the date and time for my appearance and made sure everything went smoothly on my part. I don’t know if I will ever be able to thank him enough for everything he did to help me out but I will do everything I can to try.

So if you have been following along my experience thus far, and you are looking for ways to join the #lytle4MTV campaign, here are a few easy ways to help out!
