Nike Breaks Viral Record with “Write the Future” Ad

In a previous article, I shared the Nike World Cup ad: “Write the Future.”

Well, there is some big news that has come about this commercial. According to Advertising Age, the ad broke the viral record for most views in its first week. With 7.8 million views, Nike broke its own record – the Nike ad featuring Tiger Woods and his father’s voice had set the record with 6.3 million views in its first week.

This just goes to show you the creativity of Nike’s advertising department. It’s obvious this video has international appeal which has attracted a large audience.

What do you think, guys? Have a favorite Nike ad over the years? I don’t know if there are many that can top this year’s World Cup ad. Maybe I’m wrong. Let me know. Drop me a comment or tweet your thoughts to me: @rlytle.
