What You’ve Been Waiting For: Apartment Photos!
So I have been hearing a lot of clamor about sharing photos of my new place in Washington DC (well Arlington, VA to be exact) and I’m finally coming around to posting photos. As some of you know, I moved to the area with my girlfriend, Jess, and it has pretty sweet so far. I have made it through two weeks at U.S. News & World Report and everything has been great. I’ve been learning a ton and staying extremely busy. If you’re so inclined, and interested to hear more on that, you can tweet me!
Without further ado, though, here are some photos of the condo that we are leasing! There are still a few more things to add to the place but it is basically the finished product:

Well there you have it. You have just seen the new casa. It’s been pretty awesome so far but I’ll be sure to let you all know if I ever have any complaints! I know, it’s been awhile and I’m just trying to ignore the fact that I have been away from the blog for as long as I have. Maybe, just maybe, I’ll find a consistency in my posts again soon!

Remember that time I said I was back?
Wow, don’t I look like a fool. Three weeks ago I made the grand statement that “The beast is back.” Well, I’m here to tell all my loyal (or formerly loyal) readers one thing: Whoops! There have been many things that have happened since the end of the MTV TJ competition. And, obviously, blogging has not been one of those things.
I am the ultimate creature of habit. If one day throws me off, call my schedule screwed. Think of me as a small child placed into a 6-foot-five body. I have been filling my days with job search, freelance work, sleep, eating, power naps, TV on DVDs and whatever other important tasks must be completed daily. Somehow, one of my favorite activities just fell through the cracks. Call it a lack of inspiration or motivation or sheer laziness but it feels great to be able to share my thoughts again – no matter how dumb or unqualified they may be.
So, if you’re worried I may lose my way again with my blogging, I can ease your worries. As we speak, I’m working on another post that will follow this one. But if that next post happens to take another month, just know that there must be a good reason!
BREAKING NEWS: I’M BACK!
After what has probably felt like a lifetime for all of you, I’m here to announce that I am finally getting back to the thing (well, one of the things) that I love most: blogging. This summer has been one of the fastest, craziest, most surreal summers of my life, but I’m not here to talk about that (if you really are interested in hearing just about that, check out my MTV TJ Recap page).
If you have been an avid reader, or even have eyes and have been to my page before, you may have noticed that my site looks a little different. If you have never been to my site before, just take my word for it – it’s different. I may or may not have changed the WordPress template and tweaked the CSS for some new elements just a little bit. But, mostly, I know you’re all here to read my newest content, right? Either that, or you accidentally came to my page while mindlessly browsing the Internet. Regardless how you got here, I don’t care. I’m just glad there’s at least one other person besides myself that will be amping up the page views on this post!
So now that I’m out of my post-MTV TJ hibernation it’s time to put the big-boy pants on, get on my job search (click here to hire me!) and also blog just a little bit more than I have been lately. We’ll share a few laughs, learn some new things and, who knows, maybe you’ll even learn a thing or two from me (highly doubtful). But, in the end, it’s just going to be nice to have another creative outlet to use again.
So I’m going to give you just a little while to let this announcement sink in. I’m sure you never thought this would be happening again. But just like Brett Favre says, “To hell with it. Why not come back?” Wait. He doesn’t say that? Well, to hell with him too!
MTV TJ LIVE FINALE TOMORROW 10 PM ET ON MTV!
Guys! I have never needed you more than I need you now! As a lot of you know, the MTV TJ live finale hits MTV at 10 PM EST tomorrow (Sunday) night. It will literally run from 10-11 and it will decide the FIRST-EVER MTV Twitter Jockey. Now, I’m obviously hoping it is me BUT I need your help to get there.
Like I said, the show will run at 10/9 central but it will not be airing live on TV on the west coast. If you are on the west coast, check out the live stream on MTV.com at 7 PM PT!
I have been working so hard for this and it all culminates into this LIVE FINALE. In order to win this job, I have to basically win a popularity contest! I need everyone to tune in tomorrow night and make sure to have your phones ready! THIS COMPETITION WILL BE DECIDED BY TEXT MESSAGE VOTING! I repeat: TEXT MESSAGE VOTING WILL DECIDE WHO BECOMES THE FIRST MTV TJ! MTV TJ Challenge: Tweet-up TODAY (8/3) 6 PM at Roger Smith Hotel
For one of my MTV TJ challenges, I have been challenged with getting as many Twitter followers in New York City to come to a Tweet-up event that I have set up. This is such an important part of the competition and I need all the support I can get from my people in NYC! Please, if you do one thing today, make sure to come to Roger Smith Hotel (at 47th St and Lexington Ave.) for some free food, prizes and to support a good cause. Donations will be accepted for the Make-A-Wish Foundation during the event. Whether you have $1, $10 or just change in your pocket, any amount will help! The Tweet-up will begin at 6 PM SHARP and will end at 6:30 PM SHARP. MTV will be documenting this event so this is the best time to arrive promptly to an event! We will be hanging out on the hotel’s rooftop location on the 16th floor so come stop by for a good time. More details below:
