The Future of Journalism (according to Dr. Martin)

This has little to no relevance to any trending topics at the moment, but I do want to shed light on a genius man with good business instincts.

At the moment, I am taking an Online Journalism Seminar class where the object is to learn how to drive traffic to a website. In the class, we have two teams consulting Ohio University’s student-run paper, The Post and the Athens-area broadcast station, WOUB. It has been an interesting experience thus far and we are closing in on the end of our research.

But, I just wanted to take a moment to share a screen shot from Ohio University Associate Professor Dr. Hugh Martin’s blog that shows his idea of the “future of journalism:”

If I can say anything about this photo other than how inspired and motivated we all look, I just have to say we all look GOOD. That is one attractive online journalism class.

Don’t you agree? Shoot me your compliments: @rlytle.

  1. Awww! I didn’t know he put this picture on his blog. :) Now I’ll have to find it and take a look. I was kinda nervous about the class at first since I’m a sophomore and most of you are about to graduate, but I think it’s been great experience. Along with Professor Martin, everyone has really contributed good info to the class. Let’s finish strong, we’re about done! Thanks for posting this Ryan.

  2. Yeah, I thought this was very cool of Dr. Martin to add us to his blog. I can’t believe we have three weeks before the year is over.
