Top Twitter Cities

While I was browsing the ol’ Internet, I came across some interesting Twitter data from Down The Avenue.

According to this site, London is officially the top Twitter city in the world. These stats are based on the total number of Twitter users based on the user’s “Location” settings. Take a look at the top 20 cities using Twitter:

I found a couple of surprising cities within the top 20. For one, I was very shocked to see Chicago, at number three, ranked above New York. I also found it interesting to see eight cities outside the US to crack the top 20.

Take a look at the list and let me know your thoughts. What cities did you think would make the top 20 that didn’t make an appearance? Check out this link to take a look at the top 70 Twitter cities in the world.

What are your thoughts, people? Drop me a comment or tweet me: @rlytle.

  2. What do you agree with? Did you have any ideas of what would or should be in the top 20?
